Volunteer Opportunities
The ministry utilizes five storage units at Extra Space Storage,
located at 6535 Creekside View Dr SE. Regular storage days are
Thursday 3pm-4pm, and Saturday 10am-11am.
Thank you for your interest in serving your community through Covenant Furniture Ministry. This ministry changes the lives of about 80 clients per month by providing much needed furniture and household items. We connect with our clients to also offer prayer and hope. Below are some of the ways that you can have an impact by offering as little as one hour per month.

Gate Attendant
(1-4 hours per month on storage days)
You will greet the client and make sure they know how to get to the storage location once through the gate. The day before you are scheduled to work the gate a list will be sent to you with a schedule of orders. We will provide you with the gate code and the simple training.

Storage Helper
(1-4 hours per month on storage days)
The Storage Location is open for 2 one-hour blocks each week for our clients to pick up their orders. You will be assigned to one of these days with another helper. We always have 2-3 people to make sure that loading is easy. The helpers will receive an inventory list which will detail each client’s order. You will be responsible for loading those items into their car/truck. Our helpers need to be comfortable with lifting about 50 pounds.

Storage Greeter
(1-4 hours per month on storage days)
The Storage Location is open for 2 one-hour blocks each week for our clients to pick up their orders. You will be assigned to greet clients as they pull up in their vehicle, ask for their order number and relay it to the loading team. While the team is loading furniture take this time to build connection. Check the inventory to see if they requested prayer or a bible. Connect with them so they know they are seen and loved. This makes all the difference in us just giving furniture or really connecting to our clients.

Donation Pickup
(2-4 hours per month based on your availability)
Two days per week we pick up furniture from our local residents. You will be paired with one other person to complete the scheduled pickups for that day and will need to be comfortable lifting 50 pounds. Once items are picked up, they will be taken to storage and written in the inventory. We will give you access to the Furniture Ministry Trailer, but you will need a truck. We do provide some gas money as well.

Prayer Partner

Please continue to pray for the Ministry and the team of volunteers. Pray for our clients that the items we provide them with help create a home for each of them. That by our actions and goods they know Gods love and will seek Him.
