June 2025 - Update from the Abts Family

We continue our work with Sports Friends, a ministry of SIM. As I (Kyle) step into my new role as Director of Ministry, I am energized by the opportunity to support and train our staff in various contexts and cultures. We work across 5 continents and 20 countries to equip churches and church planters to use sports to make disciples of Jesus Christ among young people, their families, and their communities.

In the coming months, I will travel to the UK to work with Ben Wildman, SF Director of Training, to develop our Level 3 "Wider" training. After that, we will proceed with Bob Cramer, SF Global Director, to India to see how God is leading, and to discover new and old partners.

FAMILY
In early May, I had the opportunity to combine a family visit with a work trip to Texas. I traveled to Dallas with my father so he could spend time with my younger brother’s family—Toby, Alycia, and Caden. From there, I continued on to Houston to join Herschel Rothchild for a SF fundraiser. It was a meaningful and memorable trip all around!

Ann remains active in her work and is also continuing her spiritual growth through Deeper Journey. We are thankful that our children are also thriving: Johanna and Zion are living in Denmark and will visit America in August, while Gabi and John, along with their baby Evie, are living in Fond du Lac, WI.
